Thank You's and Retail Therapy

First - THANK YOU! Thank you Gina, Walt, Karen and Art. Thank you. Thank you for making sure we were cared for the day after. It's the day after that you realize that you don't have milk that's good in the fridge because power was out all day, the day after you don't want to do anything cause you are tired from the adrenaline/stress rush the day before, the day after you just want it to be like the day before. When there was a knock on our door yesterday, we were handed gifts, food, and funds that helped us forget that anything had happened, if even for a little while. The basket of goodies provided all kinds of stuff for each one of us. Sarah was enthralled with her Tinkerbell glitter "lips", Harmony kept her nose in the PEOPLE magazine for over an hour, Kim rifled through the goodies and landed straight on candies and cards... I watched it all from the corner of the couch; DELIGHTED and THANKFUL. Friends ROCK!

Second - There is nothing like spending money to take away (for a moment) the stress of a tree falling on your house and car. The whole fam went to Target today - the store that has everything. We bought socks, sheets, sweaters, milk, a book, movie, and tums. We feel better. Then we went driving around looking at all the trees that fell. Eventually we made it back home and I made sure to not look down as I walked in so I wouldn't get worked up about the incessent sawdust that lies on the floor each time we come in and out of the front yard.

Third - Through it all, Kim and I can't say enough how blessed we were that things happened the way they did. WE are all happy and healthy and that is the most important thing - well, that and we rescued our beach pass from the car, that was pretty important too.
